Updates on a couple things

Well, we have done really horrible at keeping up with our blog! It has been such a busy summer for the both of us it seems that our time is totally taken by work and other things. Also, it seems to us we haven't done anything exciting enough to blog about! Nathana's family did take a vacation to Florida at the beginning of July and we'll have pictures up soon. Zach didn't get to go this time, but he will have many years in the future to get to go!

Nathana is working a few more hours a week at the daycare and Zach is working 5 days a week at McDonald's for the rest of the summer or until he finds another job. Also, an important decision we have made is that Zach is going to leave school and become a lineman. Well, actually Zach made the decision, but Nathana supports him in it. : ) We have both been praying about this and what was the right decision for us, and Zach feels that this is where God is leading him, so who are we to question our God? Keep us in your prayers as we continue to plan the wedding and figure out all of the stressful parts of planning a life together.

On the wedding front, we haven't really done much. It is less than 11 months away now! : ) We know we still have plenty of time left to get everything done though, so we aren't rushing to figure things out too soon. As of right now we have my church booked, have our officiant (my Uncle David), have the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and Nathana has looked at lots of dresses!
Any guidance on what comes next? haha.

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
