Happy Belated New Year!

Aubrie, Zach's niece hanging out in her Christmas PJ's!

Well, I am just horrible at keeping up our little blog!! So now I'm saying happy new year on the 28th! At least I got it in there before February! : )
So, you may ask, "What on earth are Nathana and Zach up to these days?" It's your lucky day, because I'm going to fill you in on the things I can think of!
First, there was Christmas '09. It may sound cliche, but it really WAS my best Christmas thus far! Seeing all of my family and friends has become even more important me and I just can't get enough of all of them! I just realized that I took like 10 pictures at Christmas this year and that is awful! I can't believe I did such a poor job. I'm going to definitely do better next year!

Here is Norah Kate playing with her daddy, David, at Mama Joyce's! She is going to be a little bookworm, I think! : )

Suzanne with the presents I got her!

Zach and I's third Christmas!

Since the year started, Zach has gotten a new job at Toyota and I am so proud of him! He will be able to get health insurance for us, and will give me less stress while finishing up school! On the school end, this semester is my least favorite by FAR! My classes aren't necessarily hard, but they are very boring and require lots of reading that I have trouble finding time for! But enough about school...

On the wedding front, I finally found bridesmaid dresses that are PERFECT! They are going to be hot pink with a light pink sash. Are any of us surprised? : ) Now we just have to find tuxedos that will go nicely with them. We also need to find invitations and either have them made or make them ourselves. Flowers are something we're not worrying too much about right now, because I already know I want different shades of pink roses, and my Aunt Melody is doing the flowers, so that is going to be wonderful.
Zach also booked our honeymoon this past sunday! We'll be staying at a cabin in Pigeon Forge, TN and hopefully get to see a lot of neat things while we're there! Only 149 days till we get married, and there's still so much to do! We'll keep you posted on anything else exciting!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
