Just sitting around

Hey everybody!
I'm just sitting at USI waiting for my next class to start and I figured I'd do a quick little post!
My birthday went great this year! I got more than I deserve and I am so thankful that the Lord has given me another year to celebrate! I will have to post some pictures soon. I got a lot of Vera Bradley things in my favorite pattern, Cupcakes pink ! This link is to the new purse Zach got me! It is so handy and I love it! : ) I do have a secret though, I only buy Vera when the colors are on sale! MUCH more affordable that way! On to other birthday festivities, Daddy gave me a piece of paper that said, "IOU one golden retriever puppy after you are married!" So it looks like Zach and I will instantly grow to a family of three and we are so excited to meet our new "baby!" (As I'm sure we will spoil him or her to death!)
So those were my most exciting birthday presents. Oh, and I also got a fishing pole from Zach and have some pictures from a fishing trip we took to our Sunday school teacher's house. I was pretty successful and will have to share those pictures too when I get to my computer!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful April!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
