Birthday week and Easter! (Not in that order)

Interesting tidbit of information:  If we hadn't had a leap day, my birthday would have been ON Easter this year.
That wasn't the case though. Sunday was Easter and my birthday was the next day, Monday.
Here are Zach and I after church.  The sun was making it extremely difficult to take pictures.
Mama and I.  Not sure where everyone else was!
 My little Easter Beagle!
Easter afternoon, we went to Zach's parents.  We had another big meal and went fishing.  We also celebrated my birthday and Zach's sister and brother-in-law's birthdays.  Both of their birthdays are the day after mine!  I told you April is a big month for us!

My 23rd birthday.  What a doozie!  I feel like I'm dangerously close to the category of "mid-twenties."  Here was my "present," which in actuality was an empty bag with a note from Zach.  It had clues to find my present, which he had hidden in the grill he got for Easter.  (It was brand new and not dirty, in case you are wondering.)  One of my presents was my new Elliptical trainer! The one that was hidden were my hot pink, studded high heels!  I will definitely get a picture of me in them.  I love them because they make me close to 6 feet tall! hehe
Zach also made me a Reese's dessert and had it ready for me when I came home from school.  He made everything of my day so sweet!
My birthday night, I went to our friend, Theresa's for my birthday supper.  She made me a chocolate cake and she, Ben, Becca, and Claire all sang to me!  It was so sweet and was another way to make me feel so very special!

Here is the day after my birthday at Mama Joyce's.  Mama, Daddy, Ross, Sarah, Zach, Mama Joyce, and I "fondued" steak.  I coined the term fondued, by the way!  It was so yummy and we hadn't done it in a long time.  It was Zach's first time every to do fondue!  Anyway, here are my new pink shorts from American Eagle, which are a size smaller than I have ever gotten!  Yay!  It was exciting to see that!
Other presents that aren't pictured are my Vera Bradley purse in Twirly Birds Pink, my Tervis Tumbler from Ross and Sarah, my new blender from Suzanne, Chick-fil-a gift card, curling iron, and I think that was it.  I love stretching out my birthday as much as possible!

My stinking camera battery was dead, so I only have my pictures from my iPod touch, but Zach's mom and my mom have pictures that I can hopefully get from them.

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
