Weekly wrap up April 15th-20th

This past week, I took Tuesday off to spend with Zach since he was off school.  We went and got a yummy breakfast from Chick-fil-a to start our day.  Then we went to meet Mama and Mama Joyce at Kohl's.  Then Zach took me to pick out my birthday present from him..... a new camera!   Here are some of the pictures I've taken since then.  It is one of the best birthday presents ever!  I am definitely spoiled! Thanks, Sweetheart!
Nellie is by and far my most willing model!! ; )

My handsome husband.  I think this is the only one of him looking at the camera AND smiling!

                                                                   Mama's Girl!
                                                              Gorgeous girl!
Visiting her great-grandparents on the 20th!  Just her and I made a road trip down to see them.  This was her longest car ride so far and she did wonderfully.
Self picture in the mirror!  At least you can see the camera!
The only picture of the two of us with my new camera!  It's a little more difficult taking a picture at arms-length with such a big camera.
Our adorable nephew, Isaiah!! (13 months)
Our Beautiful niece, Aubrie (will be 6 next week!)
And introducing our newest nephew, Samuel!  (will be 6 weeks tomorrow!)  Isn't he adorable?!
I am loving my new camera so far!  I definitely don't have it all figured out yet, so as I continue to learn, hopefully my pictures will get better and better!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
