Foooootball!

Tonight, instead of focusing on the ball game, we basically watched the commercials and ate in between. Aubrie really got into the game though and was sitting in her little chair just watching. She would say, " I watching the fooootball! What happened?" This is also her current favorite question.
Also, I was doing leg lifts on the couch, and she came over and laid down on my legs and wrapped her arms around them. So then I began to lift her up and down, and count, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5!" and she would count along. After I did a few sets of five, when I counted to five, she looked at me, still holding on to my legs, and whispered, "Six," and I said six, and then she whispered, "Seven," and we continued this until we got to ten! Only instead of whispering 10 she yelled, "Ten!!!!" I had never heard her count from 1 to 10 before without skipping any numbers, and it was so cute! She is a very smart little girl and I'm very lucky to be her aunt, well I will be, but she already calls me her "Aunt Thana!" : )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

5 years ago today...

Zach took me on our first date.  We met at the very end of August when we started college at USI.  It wasn't until September we really began to hang out, and then we began to talk about going on a date.  He worked at Gander Mtn. that had just opened up in Evansville.  I had been wanting to go shopping there and couldn't find the store.  Once Zach mentioned that he might be able to take me if I wanted, I definitely stopped trying to find the store on my own. ; )  The week we went, he worked every day of the week, except for one.  He told me he would take me on his one day off.  We drove to Gander first and we shopped around.  I tried on snow hats and Zach bought me a Gander cap.  Then we were driving back toward USI and Zach asked me if I had ever driven stick shift before.  He pulled into Roberts' Stadium parking lot and told me he was going to teach me.  I remember thinking, "This boy must be crazy if he is letting me drive hi...
