Friday, the day after Ten on Thursday! : )

1. Two more days of school until Christmas break!

2. Zach finished his semester on Tuesday night. I once again will brag on him, since I don't think he looks at our blog anyway. He passed all of his classes and did so well. I honestly can't express is words how proud I am of him or how proud I am to be his wife. All I can say is, God did an excellent job when he set Zach aside for me! I am just blessed. : )

3. I am finally getting over my sickness, praise the Lord! My nose is still stuffy off and on, but I will take it since my head no longer feels like it will explode!

4. Nellie has found a new love. Whenever I am drying my hair, as soon as I turn on the drier, she comes bounding up, lays down, and rolls onto her back. Then I blow it all over her belly and sides as she just wallows. (Don't worry, I make sure to keep it moving so it doesn't burn her!) She will even roll from side to side when I tell her too. This has become extremely useful for when I give her a bath so that I can get her dry without her getting our house all wet! Also, it's extremely cute, naturally!

5. On Wednesday Zach took me shopping to remind him of what I wanted for Christmas. ; ) (That's code for I had to pick a few things out!) Then we went to one of our favorites, Shyler's for supper. Yum! It was so nice to get to spend time together. It's been a little crazy with his finals and work, and me preparing for the end of the semester. Hopefully we can both relax and spends lots of time together on break!

6. It is so cold here today, but I looked at the forecast and it is saying that it is supposed to be in the 40's next week for Christmas. : ( I am still hoping for a Christmas miracle and some snow though!

7. I finally, finally finished the present I have been working on for Zach's Granny. It doesn't seem like I've been working on it so long since I didn't start it until October, but let me tell you, I logged some major hours in the making of it. I kept wanting to make it bigger/longer which led me to running out of the materials I was using not once, but twice! Ugh! Let's just say, I am really glad that I am done, really pleased with how it turned out, and am really hoping she will like it! I will post a picture of it once I give it to her Monday night!

8. We are still not quite prepared for Christmas at the Scheller house hold! Sure, our tree and decorations are up, but all the presents are not bought and wrapped under the tree. This makes me very nervous, as there are actually some things that I do not enjoy procrastinating on! I think we still have 6 people to buy for, and Christmas is fast approaching!

9. Nellie does not like that I have wrapped her Christmas presents. Some of them are pork chomps and she can smell them through their packaging and the paper, so she has already gotten in trouble a couple times for "snooping!" Haha, hopefully I can keep her out of any of the messes she got in last Christmas though!

10. 9 days until Christmas! (a count down that my students remind me of daily!) : )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
