Weekly Wrap Up

Hmm, to be to the point, Thursdays lately just haven't worked out so well for blogging. So me, myself, and I created a new alliteration... Weekly Wrap Up. I think if I post on the weekend it will be a little easier to stick to. I digress....

This past week was in the fewest words, "ideal." My days at work went by quickly, time at home went by at a good pace, and altogether the week went by fast! This makes for one happy gal.

During the week I got to hang out with Theresa, the mother of Ben, Becca, and Claire! (Whom I have mentioned before! We love those sweet babies!) We had way too much fun eating pizza and celebrating her cousin's birthday and then talking about anything and everything. I just love their family and am so glad that they love having Zach and I over!

Wednesday night we went out to Olive Garden with Zach's parents, Jessie, Freddie, and Aubrie. We wanted to see his parents before they headed off on a wonderful vacation! If only we could have hopped on the plane with them! Haha.

Thursday I got so wrapped up in exercising that I forgot to watch the new episode of The Office! Sad, until I remembered I can watch it online! Seriously, what did I do before the internet!?

Speaking of exercise, since the beginning of the week I have lost about another 2 lbs, which brings my total weight loss to 15 lbs! Woo hoo! I am so excited and proud, but obviously pushing on until I reach my goal. Also, I can't honestly see a great difference in pictures that I have taken (okay, forced Zach to take) so I can monitor my progress. Possibly I am just the one who can't see it? Hmm, not sure about it yet. I'm gonna keep on keepin' on though so that when someone else notices I can really enjoy it! (And never fear, I shall never and I say neh-he-ver subject ya'll to seeing my swimsuit pictures. Unless of course it is like my "reach goal one." But no, definitely NOT the before!) Sorry, just didn't want to make ya'll nervous! Haha.

On Friday, Elizabeth and I went shopping and checked out JC Penney's new pricing deal (not going to lie, I nearly had a breakdown in the store. Problem with change? Party of one!), then went to Qdoba for dinner. It was new for the both of us, but was pretty good, and we should be a little more prepared to order next time. Us poor girls, so very very indecisive!

Today Zach and I slept until 9:00 a.m, which we haven't done in quite a while! I can attest that it was heavenly! We indulged with heart shaped Chick-fil-a chicken biscuits for breakfast followed by a quick browse at the local flea market. I felt very dirty afterwards, there's just something yuck about it! Then we went home and watched Courageous. My words tonight can't describe how it made me or Zach feel. I do know I pretty much cried the whole movie. There was some sadness, but also for the hope in it. Mainly it is showing men how to be Godly leaders of their family and a Godly father. Afterward I told Zach that he was going to have such a hard job, but I knew that there was no better man I would want to be in that position for my family. Thank goodness we don't have to worry about all that parenting stuff just yet. We do already pray about that though!

This afternoon we went to Taco Bell and Merchants Outlet to look for Zach a new reloading table, but didn't find exactly what he had in mind. Then we went to Target to find a dessert and we got Pillsbury's Sweet Moment bites. They are brownies with caramel covered in chocolate and were soooo good!

It's about sleepy time in our house, so hopefully you could follow my train of thought. I'm not even sure if I had one! I hope you all had a good week as well and have a great rest of the weekend!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
