Spring Break wrap up! A Wonderful week...sort of.

1. About 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning I woke up and my throat was kind of tingling, but I figured it was because I had mowed at Mama Joyce's on Saturday.

2. At about 8:00 Sunday night I had a 101.8 fever, which let me know it was NOT just allergies.

3. Monday morning I already had a Dr. appt, so I had her look at my throat.  She sent to me to the hospital for a strep test and ta-da! I have strep for the 2nd time in a month and a half.  I can't say I am happy with that.  I really think strep loves me.  I would hate to have my tonsils out being this old, but I would much rather not have strep.  ever. again!

4. On to the joyous part of spring break. By Tuesday I had been on my antibiotic for almost 24 hours when Mama and I went shopping. We had lots of fun and she bought me 2 new dresses and we got some soothing Chick-fil-a ice dream for my throat. I can't remember where else we went except for the furniture store for Mama and Daddy to pick out their new mattress. As they were looking I saw something pink out of the corner of my eye, so I went to check it out. It was at ottoman that had small pink leopard print spots on white. : ) They had one more that was brown leopard print on light pink. I went to open one to see what the storage was like in one and to my surprise it was a Hide-a-seat! Haha, I know that sounds lame, but I was so taken back, at the moment I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. (Remember, I was still in my strep stupor!) Anyway, a very long story short, some negotiation on my end, and we got both of them (One for Suzanne) for TWENTY dollars each. They were originally $398. I nearly died it was such a good deal. Zach even admires it for its cup holder and chair!

5.  Tuesday night when Zach got home from work he decided we should go see The Hunger Games at the 10:15 showing.  That's 10:15 P.M. !!!  We did go, and through my sickyness and tiredness we both had a great time.  The movie satisfied my need for movies to follow books, and Zach liked the action.  It was past 12:30 a.m. when the movie got out, and after 2:00 when we got to sleep, so I can guarantee that's the latest I've been up in a loooooong time.  (With the exception of sickness. Haha)

 6. Wednesday Zach only had 1 class, so we went to New Harmony to eat at the Red Geranium for supper.  It was delicious and so nice to have an excuse to dress up for a fancy supper!
This is one of the dresses Mama and I found!
 6. On Thursday, I got my hair cut.  You can compare it to the picture above and tell it was a BIG difference.  If you know me, you may also know I nearly hypervenilate when getting my hair cut, so I'm glad I like it!
 7.  Someone was enjoying all the family time that we got to spend together over break! : )
Daddy and Nellie just love to cuddle!
 8.  Each time the yard is mowed and Nellie goes out, her little feet turn green.  Maybe she's a little Irish! ; )
I am so glad that spring break was good, but as always it seemed to fly by!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
