Weekly Wrap Up (Sept. 23-29)

On Sunday I went to church and took a nap while Zach had to work.  Then when he got home we went to Wendy's and Target!  I feel like we spend lots of time at Target! On Tuesday we had our last home volleyball game at school and I worked concessions.  On Friday it was school picture day!  It was raining, but I had already planned my hair and outfit, and I wasn't letting anything ruin it!  I got my dress from New York and Company and got so many compliments on it!  It's my new favorite! On Saturday Zach and I went to Jo-Ann's to buy one of those Halloween bowls that has a skeleton hand in it.  When you reach in to grab the candy, it comes down on your hand.  We knew that if we put Nellie's treats in it, we would probably have a good 30 minutes of entertainment!  (My Mama said this was mean to do to my baby!)  Oh well!  ; )  It was so funny to see her reaction!  She eventually started howling at it and getting really ...

The school year is interefering with my blogging!  I can tell you that my weeks have been filled with lesson planning, working volleyball games, tutoring, cooking, and trying to give my husband and furry child the attention they deserve!  Each of the last three weekends, Zach has dropped me off at my parent while he goes hunting, and then Mama Joyce, Mama, Suzanne, and I go shopping.  This past weekend, Zach and I just spent time together though.  We had such a wonderful weekend.  On Friday I left school as soon as I could so that we could go out to supper.  Zach wanted to go to Vecchio's, an Italian shop in Newburgh, but they only do carry out meals on Friday nights!  (Which of course we didn't know! Boo!)  It turned out okay though because we went to Texas Roadhouse which was delicious!  Then we went to get my ears pierced! (I got my second holes done.)  I was so nervous and almost didn't do it, but Zach encouraged me, and it went gr...

Weekly Wrap Up (August 27-31)

Sunday I taught children's church after Sunday school. Then after lunch at Mama Joyce's I headed back to Evansville to meet my friend, Jennifer, and her mom. Jennifer and her husband are stationed in Georgia right now, and with him away for the week in training, she came home to visit. So we got a snack, caught up and did a little shopping! It was great to see her! On Monday at school we started our 1st grade reading blocks at school. I have a busy group of 7 boys! They are getting the swing of things, so hopefully things will go even smoother next week! On Tuesday I worked some after school and then went back to the mall because New York and Co. was having a sale. I bought a pink skirt from There a couple months ago, but hadn't found the right top to go with it. I found a leopard print too that went great and then they had wedges in black tones and in tan tones for $11.99, originally $44.95. They also let me get my teacher discount, so each pair was just $10! I was s...
