Hmm....

The school year is interefering with my blogging!  I can tell you that my weeks have been filled with lesson planning, working volleyball games, tutoring, cooking, and trying to give my husband and furry child the attention they deserve!

Each of the last three weekends, Zach has dropped me off at my parent while he goes hunting, and then Mama Joyce, Mama, Suzanne, and I go shopping.  This past weekend, Zach and I just spent time together though.  We had such a wonderful weekend.  On Friday I left school as soon as I could so that we could go out to supper.  Zach wanted to go to Vecchio's, an Italian shop in Newburgh, but they only do carry out meals on Friday nights!  (Which of course we didn't know! Boo!)  It turned out okay though because we went to Texas Roadhouse which was delicious!  Then we went to get my ears pierced! (I got my second holes done.)  I was so nervous and almost didn't do it, but Zach encouraged me, and it went great. The girl was so nice and did a great job!

Then on Saturday we (Nellie and I) slept until 8:15 and let Zach sleep til about 9:15.  We just lounged around until lunch time and then went to Rural King and back to the mall to pick up ear cleaning solution they forgot to give me the night before.  Then we went to my parents to help close up the pool.  It was quite a production.  You would have needed to be there to understand all the events.  Let's just say I ended up in my swimsuit in the pool to get the pool cover across.  Then we took Nellie with us to go put up Zach's trail cam on some of Mama Joyce's land.  We let Nellie run and it was so beautiful to watch her run through the field.  It just looks so natural!  Hopefully her Daddy is going to work with her on hunting some this winter!  Then we (Mama, Suzanne, Zach, and I re-grouped at Banana Republic.  I got two dresses for around $11!  Then we all got cold stone ice cream sandwich cookies which were delicious!

I have been battling some nasty throat/coughing/sinus junk for almost a week, so maybe I can attribute laziness in blogging to that!  Regardless, I'm going to try to get up some pics soon!

Hope everybody's doing well and enjoying this start to Fall!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
