Weekly Wrap Up (August 27-31)

Sunday I taught children's church after Sunday school. Then after lunch at Mama Joyce's I headed back to Evansville to meet my friend, Jennifer, and her mom. Jennifer and her husband are stationed in Georgia right now, and with him away for the week in training, she came home to visit. So we got a snack, caught up and did a little shopping! It was great to see her!

On Monday at school we started our 1st grade reading blocks at school. I have a busy group of 7 boys! They are getting the swing of things, so hopefully things will go even smoother next week!

On Tuesday I worked some after school and then went back to the mall because New York and Co. was having a sale. I bought a pink skirt from
There a couple months ago, but hadn't found the right top to go with it. I found a leopard print too that went great and then they had wedges in black tones and in tan tones for $11.99, originally $44.95. They also let me get my teacher discount, so each pair was just $10! I was so excited!

We also had our "Character Counts" kick-off at school that day. The NED show came to our school and the kids loved it!

Wednesday Zach started his Ethics test online and 2 hours later, still not finished! He got it finished and submitted Thursday. He checked to see if the grade was posted and he got a 105! (extra points for turning it in early!) Yay!

Thursday I babysat our friends' little girl, Natalie. I joked with Kayleigh that Natalie didn't want to see me because she didn't wake up the entire time I was there!

Yesterday we were lazy and ordered stuffed crust pizza! It was de-licious! Other than that, Zach just got all of his things together for opening day of deer season.

When I woke up this morning, I realized he was still here! He was so mad because he forgot to change the day of his alarm, so he didn't wake up in time! He's still going tonight though!

It was a fast, but wonderful week!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
