Weekly Wrap Up (October 7-13)

On Sunday, we had supper at Zach's Parents' house.  We had chicken and rice and we were so stuffed when we left!

On Monday I took the day off because it was the first day of Zach's fall break!  We slept in, which was so nice and then went for a late brunch at IHOP!  They just started their pumpkin pancakes again and they were delicious!  I also tried their caramel hot chocolate, which was too good for words.  Too bad I had to ruin it by logging all those calories.  After that we went to Rural King... Zach's favorite!  Then we went hunting all afternoon and had potato soup at Mama Joyce's!  It was such a nice day to just spend time together!

On Tuesday, our friend, Kevin, surprised up with a visit at our house.  We caught up with him for a while and then went to Chick-fil-a for supper.  Which was yummy until..... about 5:00 a.m Wednesday morning when I started throwing up.  Just to reiterate in case I've said it before.... My least favorite thing in this entire world is throwing up.  Ugh, It is just the worst feeling.  So, I threw up a few times and decided to try to work.  I got to school and felt even worse, so I let my principal know I was sick and would go home after reading blocks if I didn't feel better.  Two hours later I felt a whole lot worse, so home I went.  I got home and had a fever, so I wrapped up in blankets (yeah, I know that's not what you're supposed to do! haha) and waited for my sweet Zach to get home for class.  He came home with popsicles and Gatorade!  Thank goodness I was feeling substantially better by that night!  I think it was really like a 12 hour bug.   Wednesday was also five years since our first date!  Since I didn't feel well we laid in bed and watched Duck Dynasty!

On Thursday we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for boneless Thursday.  So glad I didn't then throw that up! : )

On Friday, Zach sighted in his muzzleloader he built at his parents' house, so I met him over there after school.  Then we went to IHOP with his parents. (I know, I know, twice in one week, but we were telling them what all we had on Monday and they thought it sounded yummy!)

On Saturday, we enjoyed sleeping in and then I went to mow at Mama Joyce's.  We also went to move Zach's tree stand I bought him last Christmas only to find that someone had stolen it.  I was so upset!  Ugh, people are just so terrible!  Let's just say that really made my day worse.  A positive though that brightened the day was that we got Nellie 2 years today!  She got lots of love and a special treat!  So thankful to be blessed with our sweet girl! No one can steal that happy from me!

Then we were looking for supper and were naming off places to go.  I asked Zach if he'd ever had Qdoba before and he said he didn't even know what it was.  I had been there once with Elizabeth and told Zach he'd probably like it.  He didn't just like it, he loved it!  I think it is his new favorite restaurant and he is determined to try each kind of their burritos.  I am betting frequent it in the near future!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
