Valentine's Day

For Valentine's day, even though it was NSM, we did still get each other gifts.  Below is Zach's present:  A funny card, water flavoring, and a new water bottle for him to take to school!
When I came home on Wednesday evening I found these beautiful roses and a card.  I saved the card for Valentine's morning and it was so sweet!

Here we are in all our "worked/at school all day glory." Cute, huh?

I also had a very sweet Valentine's day at school.  In the picture above, it's a little blurry, but the little boy I tutor got be a UK necklace! : )  So sweet.  I also received MANY valentines and candies.  I was so touched, because without having a homeroom, you don't usually get thought of.  My kids are super sweet, though!  Bless their hearts.

On Valentine's Day night, Zach's night class teacher was so sweet and canceled their Lab, so they could spend time with their Valentines!  : ) I was very happy about this, because we were initially just going to celebrate on the weekend.  Anywho, so for supper I made honey chicken with mushroom rice pilaf.  We also had salad.  For dessert we had lemon fluff dip.  I normally make it as a pie, but Zach had the idea to make the filling for the pie and dip graham crackers in it.  SO yummy!  He also made me chocolate covered strawberries! : )  He spoils me!

We are loved by so many and hope we show our love to everyone in our lives!  Happy Valentine's Day to my sweetie, Zach!  This is our 6th one!  I love you more!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
