Baby Scheller #3- 16 weeks

Too tired to take pictures tonight, but will tomorrow!

How Far along: 16 weeks (April 23-30)

Baby's size:An avacado 4-5 inches long, around 3.5 ounces

Weight loss/gain: 1.5 lbs or so

Sleep: Waking up to go to the bathroom about once a night.

Gender: Don't know yet.

Movement: I felt (or am like 95% sure) that I felt Shim this week.  After I thought I did,  I laid down on my side to see if it happened again, and it did! I think it was Sunday.

Best Moment of this week: I got to see baby for a couple minutes at my appointment! : ) More on that below.

Looking Forward: Dr appt on Wednesday, April 29th.

Food cravings: Chinese food! We made some of the box stuff from the store, but it wasn't as good as what I wanted.

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Just a couple nights this week I've felt sick around bedtime.  Zach laughs at me because I will tell him, if I just lay here really still and fall asleep, I won't know that I feel sick.  Then I feel fine in the morning.  I've pretty much resolved that I'm not going to take any more zofran unless I am dying, because taking it makes some things worse than just throwing up. Haha.

Symptoms: I've been overdoing it packing up things/ carrying things and Reid, and I think this has attribute to some round ligament pain.  I am especially feeling it today.

Dr. Appt: I had my appointment on Wednesday, first thing in the morning.  I was so happy and surprised when my Dr pulled out a hand held ultrasound machine and used that to check on baby.  She also told me she was going to try and see if she could sneak a peek in between baby's legs, and I got a little excited because I thought it would be such a good surprise for Zach.  She tried, but since Shim is their father's child, they were difficult and would NOT cooperate and move the way we needed him/her to. I did get to see baby's cute little head, beautiful spine, and long looking femur!

Workouts: Not so much! I have a hard time working out inside. I do much better when I can walk up and down the driveway.

What I miss: I miss the sunshine and being able to play outside.  I also miss going to stores and shopping! (Darn you, Covid 19 virus.)

Things that stink: Not having a lot of energy

Things that don't stink:  Getting to see baby.  It was the highlight of my week!  Also, I got to have chick fil a for lunch one day and breakfast today!  It was so yummy!

Labor signs?: nope

Mama's Thoughts: I'm starting to believe that I'm moving into the "sweetness" of the 2nd trimester.  I was so relieved to see baby again this week.  I still worry about how Shim is doing in there so seeing him/her moving all around was exactly what I needed!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach was so excited for me that I got to see baby, but admitted as we were laying in bed that night he was sad he didn't get to! I reminded him that in 4 weeks at our anatomy scan he will though!

Baby: Doing well!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
