Ten on Thursday

1.Well, with all this snow this week, we have enjoyed some quality family time! I told Nellie to give me her best snow day look and this is what I got! Ha!

2. Here is the 2'' or so of snow that we got! It snowed in the early morning Tuesday and all that day! I got to babysit since my first day of student teaching was a snow day! Woo hoo!

3. On Monday Mama and Daddy bought me a new car. With student teaching coming up I needed a more reliable car that we wouldn't have to worry about breaking down. I love it! Aren't my Mama and Daddy the best? (That was a rhetorical question!)

4. This is the day of orientation for student teaching!
5. Suzanne and Mama picked out this T-shirt for Nellie. I can't say that she's an angel all the time, though! Especially in this picture she looks like a little devil!

This is her most angelic state! : )

6. We also took Nellie on a shopping trip to Rural King! I got tired of keeping her from eating the popcorn off the floor, so she got to experience to cart! hehehe. It kind of creeped her out, though!
7. Her 5 month old picture!
This picture was just too awesome. As you can probably tell, she is in mid-jump! She is like a kid when she sees a camera! She wants to see it and loves to ham it up for the camera!
Isn't she a little beauty? We adore her so very much!
8. Zach's first class went pretty well! We sure did miss him on Wednesday night though!

9. This weekend I am taking my last Praxis II test for my teaching license! Yay! Pray that it goes well! I am ready to get it over with!

10. Today was my first day of student teaching after all these snow days! There was a 2 hour delay and the group "Tales and Scales" put on a performance for the kids, so it was a pretty "empty" day teaching wise, but it was still good to experience. The best part is tomorrow is Friday!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
