Ten on Thursday

1. Saturday I went to IHOP and Sam's club with Elizabeth. We got to have all sorts of samples and see all of the Christmas stuff!

2. I also made a Christmas wreath with a wreath form, glitter paper, and a hot glue gun. Unfortunatley, Zach won't let me put it up until after Thanksgiving, so you'll have to wait a little bit longer to see it!

3. On Sunday Daddy, Suzannne, and I went to church, then Hunan's, and Rural King. I bought myself a lil' pumpkin to carve and Zach a two-man ladder stand. He was so surprised when he came home and saw me with it in the driveway!

4. Mama and Mama Joyce spent 1/2 week at Vanderbilt with Uncle Reid this week as well. It appears my Daddy did not starve, even in their absence. Haha.

5. On Halloween, we were grinches I guess, because we left candy on our front porch and left the house to find good place to hunt. Zach had to scope out the place for his new stand.

6. At Sam's Club I found the cutest baby outfits for Ryan and Kayleigh's baby, who they found out is a sweet baby GIRL! I have also started pinning ideas on Pinterest because I offered to host Kayleigh's babys shower in Evansville. I myself, just can't wait to meet sweet Natalie Claire! A little over 18 weeks to go!

7. Tutoring is going well, my little guy is doing so well, and he always cracks me up.

8. Zach got another 10/10 on his Calculus quiz! I am so proud of him. Only about 4 weeks of class left in this semester!

9. Zach's parents got back from Hawaii on Sunday and we had dinner with them at Shyler's. They had been 29 hours without sleep, so I know they were glad to get home!

10. So many kiddos have been sick lately. On average, just from my small groups, I've had at least 2 out per day. I just hope they don't give it to me!

I am so excited for this weekend, because Zach is off! I can guarantee it will be good. Nellie and I love having him home! Have a great weekend! Don't forget Daylight Saving time!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
