4th of July

This year we celebrated 4th of the July three different days.                                On July 3rd, we went to Zach's parents' house to celebrate with their family.
Our Niece and her adorable new hair cut! (And sunglasses!)

Our older nephew!  He's such a happy boy!
Going to swing she wanted to hold my hand.  Praying she'll always want that! : )
Please don't get me started on how big she is getting!
Testing out my camera's action mode!
Nellie was traumatized by some fireworks Zach's dad set off.  Poor baby!
On the 4th of July we went to my parents' to celebrate.  Noble Boo and I.
                                                                        Rotten-ness.
Our patriotic outfits (minus red! Haha)

My sister and most adorable nephew-dog!
We hung out all day and then went to Mama Joyce's for supper.  Check out her gorgeous hydrangeas!
Have I mentioned I loooooove my new camera?  The pictures just turn out so well!
                                                          Suzanne and her boyfriend!

                                                Handsome husband and myself!
                                                                   And again!
Aunt Melody, Mama Joyce, and Mama
Aunt Lynn, since I know you're reading this, you were the only daughter missing!  Guess we'll just have to get some pictures of ya'll all at the beach! : )
Our third celebration, I have no pictures from because it rained and I didn't want to risk getting my camera damaged.  Our friends have street wide party and fireworks show on Saturday, the 6th.  They do three separate shows with a crazy amount of fireworks.  I so wish I could have gotten pictures, but you'll just have to trust that it was as good as I say it was.  We're definitely hoping we get to join them again next year!

It was a great 4th, and I'm glad we got to celebrate it with everyone we love!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
