Bumpdate: Week 29

How Far along: 29 weeks

Baby's size: A fresh pineapple or an acorn squash! About 16 in. long, between 2.5-3.8 lbs!

Weight loss/gain: Up 10 lbs total, and really hoping to slow that down.  It's coming out of nowhere it seems!

Sleep: Still getting up at least once a night, every now and then it is twice.  I sleep awesomely until about 2 am, then toss and turn after going to the bathroom. I have done a little better about getting back to sleep until about 5:50 when Zach's first alarm goes off.

Gender: B-O-Y

Movement:  Moving and sometimes it even hurts a little bit!  This past week he must have balled himself up on my right side because it was throbbing and hurting so badly.  I didn't know what was going on, but I think I scared Zach a little when I texted him about it.  At first I though it was braxton hicks contractions, but I think it was just BBS trying to get my attention!

Best Moment of this week: Finding out we will be closing on our house about 2 weeks ahead of schedule!

Looking Forward: to the weekend, as usual.  We've got lots of packing to do and relaxing to do!

Food cravings: I made blonde brownies and they were pretty darn good!  Pineapple, too!  Yum!

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nothing

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: I ate chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and they made me feel pretty crappy! Apparently BBS doesn't really like sweets for breakfast like Mama does! : (

Symptoms: A big belly!  Not feeling very cute this week.

Dr. Appt:  My next appt. is not until my spring break, and I'll be 31 weeks, 4 days!  It's crazy that it will be that long until the next one, and that I'll be past 30 weeks!

Workouts: Cleaning and packing!

What I miss: Nothing much.

Things that stink: That Daylight Savings Time is this weekend.  I'm all for the "falling back" but not so big on the "Springing forward." : /  Never fun to have to get up and go to work in the dark!

Things that don't stink: 2 weeks until Spring Break!  11 Weeks (give or take) until we have a BABY! Wow!

Mama's Thoughts: Zach took one of my bump pictures last night and I got a little sad at how bad I looked.  I'm hoping it was just a flop yesterday, and today's will be better! : )

We were laying in bed and I asked Zach if he could believe that BBS would be here in around 11 weeks.

It still seems like a daydream some days that I am 29 weeks pregnant with our precious little boy.  It just doesn't seem like we are deserving of something so amazing and miraculous!  I am so thankful the Lord is blessing us with this experience!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach said he thinks it's so cool that we'll have a son in 11 weeks or so.  I don't think either of us will really comprehend it until he's actually here!

Baby:Making some big movements.  I think before too long we'll be able to see all his movements!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
