Christmas line-up

So, being the newlyweds that we are, we knew this year with all of the holidays there would be some give and take when it came to these events. Just in case any of you were desperately wanting to know how or if we we're going to be able to work it out... Tonight, the 23rd (aka Christmas Eve's Eve) we are eating pizza with Zach's mom's cousins who are up from Mississippi. Tomorrow, the 24th (Christmas Eve) we are going to my dad's parents in the morning to do Christmas with them. Then that evening we are going to Zach's dad's side to open "dirty santa" presents. (I.E.- Everyone steals presents from each other and I hate it!) Well, let's say I hate it less than I originally did 3 years ago! I have learned that the name of the game is you buy yourself what you want in hopes of getting it! Selfish, yes, I know, but it's either that or you depend on what others bring, which is usually dumb gag gifts! Another example of that is Zach is tak...

This week...

Didn't turn out exactly as planned, but is still going to end fantastically! I was supposed to work Monday and Wednesday, but it ended up that they didn't need me today. A little frustrating since we could use the money, but Zach and I got to spend the day together and do a little bit of very last minute shopping! I don't know why I'm posting tonight when I do my ten on Thursday tomorrow, I just felt like blogging I guess! Haha, you could say I have gotten a little devoted to our little blog. It probably isn't the most interesting all the time, but I think it will be great to go back and look at later to see all the fun we had when we were newlyweds and young!

Ten on Thursday

1. Only 9 days until Christmas! 2. We are trying to get our Christmas cards mailed, but keep forgetting to buy stamps! 3. Nellie is starting to work on the command "Lay down." The day after I started with it, she started to listen! Our little girl is a genius ! : ) 4. I have started to wrap presents at long last! It feels like we didn't buy much this year, but I'm hoping everyone loves what we got them. 5. On the note of wrapping paper, sweet little Nellie chewed through a section of her grandma's present. Luckily the present is something that can't really be chewed up and the little devil was punished accordingly! Hopefully she has learned her lesson and will be an angel the next 9 days! 6. I really wish when we got all this ice and snow that the daycare would close! 7. I still have nothing for Zach. How could this be?? Well, when he tells me he doesn't want anything from me, I guess he means it. He says the only thing he would want from me...

So much to do, so little time!

Today I got to go shopping with Mama, Mama Joyce, and Suzanne! (Amid 3 finals!!!) I feel like I didn't get a whole lot, but we only have two more people to buy for!! So I must have done pretty well after all! I cannot wait until Christmas. I really want it to be special this year since it is our first Christmas married. I know that it's time to start the traditions that we will keep for the rest of our lives and pass on to our children some day. Which also makes me really excited! One thing I am looking forward to is Christmas morning! We are going to use our new China for breakfast! Okay, I want to share more traditions I am looking forward to, but I think I'm going to wait until I can think clearly enough to make a list! (Since my brain is just a little fried from school! ; ) ) I am one stinking reflection paper for math short of being done with my 7th semester of college! Yay! I can't I've been in college for 3 1/2 years! But as they say, time flies!!...

Ten on Thursday

1. To start off, I was really sick yesterday! I had a really bad stomach bug, which I probably got from one of my little darlings at the daycare! Let me just tell you, I broke my old record of throwing up 15 times in a day! : ( Now the bar is set at 20, and I hope to never reach anywhere near it again! 2. Secondly, my husband is WONDERFUL. He has taken such good care of me and took care of everything that I asked him to. Now, we are just hoping that he doesn't get what I have. 3. Nellie is barking more and more all the time! Especially when her daddy is playing with her! 4. I found out on Tuesday that I passed the two Praxis II tests that I took in November!! : ) Yay! I am so excited, especially because that means I don't have to re-take them! Now I just have the one in January for my reading minor! 5. I have not done any more Christmas shopping since Black Friday!! Yikes! I have to get on the ball or we're not going to have anything for anyone! 6. Zach remains st...

Let's do the math

10 projects/assignments/finals in 2 weeks time minus 5 hours of sleep per week multiplied by the stress of working 24 hours in a week on top of 18 hours of course work plus 4 poop stains on the carpet (courtesy of Nellie-girl) when I get home equals...... drum roll pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. 1 worn out, fed up, over worked, under paid, poop-cleanin', tired wife/ [dog] mama/college student! haha, actually it may not be quite as bad as it sounds... I'm just feeling dramatic tonight! Hope everybody is behaving, Good Ole St. Nick is watching! ; ) ~Nathana (and Zach and Nellie, who are both snoring at this time!)

Snow!

We woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow! Not quite my 3-5 inches, but I'll take it as a good start! I wondered how Nellie would react, but she just ran out in it and loved it! She keeps running to the door wanting to go out!
