Ten on Thursday

1. Only 9 days until Christmas!

2. We are trying to get our Christmas cards mailed, but keep forgetting to buy stamps!

3. Nellie is starting to work on the command "Lay down." The day after I started with it, she started to listen! Our little girl is a genius! : )

4. I have started to wrap presents at long last! It feels like we didn't buy much this year, but I'm hoping everyone loves what we got them.

5. On the note of wrapping paper, sweet little Nellie chewed through a section of her grandma's present. Luckily the present is something that can't really be chewed up and the little devil was punished accordingly! Hopefully she has learned her lesson and will be an angel the next 9 days!

6. I really wish when we got all this ice and snow that the daycare would close!

7. I still have nothing for Zach. How could this be?? Well, when he tells me he doesn't want anything from me, I guess he means it. He says the only thing he would want from me would be money and he knows I don't do that for presents! : ) I do at least have him some candy for his stocking....

8. I still have that math review to turn in by tomorrow! Ugh, it stinks having one little thing in the way of my Christmas break!! I already have it partially done, so hopefully I will get it done tonight!

9. This week is my last week of finals ever! (Since next semester I won't have any finals, just student teaching.) : )

10. We got our Christmas stockings last night at Wal-mart. I want to make us some in the near future, so we just bought cheap $1 ones. There just wasn't enough time this semester.

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
