Ten on Thursday

1. To start off, I was really sick yesterday! I had a really bad stomach bug, which I probably got from one of my little darlings at the daycare! Let me just tell you, I broke my old record of throwing up 15 times in a day! : ( Now the bar is set at 20, and I hope to never reach anywhere near it again!

2. Secondly, my husband is WONDERFUL. He has taken such good care of me and took care of everything that I asked him to. Now, we are just hoping that he doesn't get what I have.

3. Nellie is barking more and more all the time! Especially when her daddy is playing with her!

4. I found out on Tuesday that I passed the two Praxis II tests that I took in November!! : ) Yay! I am so excited, especially because that means I don't have to re-take them! Now I just have the one in January for my reading minor!

5. I have not done any more Christmas shopping since Black Friday!! Yikes! I have to get on the ball or we're not going to have anything for anyone!

6. Zach remains stubborn about telling me what he wants for Christmas! Men are so complicated.....

7. I am working at the daycare during Christmas break and look forward to some extra money!

8. Today I found Nellie eating one of my Candy canes! At least she will have better breath, I guess.

9. On the topic of being sick, I had to miss classes today (And today was my last day.) Hopefully my professors didn't mind too much. I e-mailed them and will have to make up a quiz sometime next week. Luckily though, I don't have too many finals next week and it shouldn't be a problem. I just feel bad because I didn't miss a single class the entire semester and then I missed the last ones! Oh well, right? It's not like we can plan when we get sick!!

10. Only 16 days until Christmas! This is unreal!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
