Ten on Thursday

1. This week on Tuesday Elizabeth an I got to go to Cheddar's! The best part was we didn't have to wait because we went so early! 2. I have been sewing a skirt and the last step was to shir the skirt so it would cinch up and be elastic-y. It sounds all well and good until it didn't work! I realized I needed a bigger needle for my machine, so yet another trip to Jo-Anns was needed. Then I got home and I still couldn't get it to work just right. Ugh, I need some help! 3. Poor Zach had to work or be in class every single night this week, which has sucked, since we haven't gotten to see each other much at all. I missed him so much, but thankfully his schedule is better for next week! 4. This week has been so slow! It goes that way sometimes with 4 day weeks, so I am ready for the weekend. 5. Friday was our friend Ryan's birthday, so I went out to eat with he and Kayleigh since Zach was working. 6. Working out is going good and have lost another 3 lbs, whi...

Ten on Thursday

1. I spent a lot of time throughout the week making and getting things for Kayleigh's baby shower on the 14th. 2. I also covered for a 1st grade class while the teachers did DIBELS. It was a fun time had by all! They make you feel like a celebrity when they don't see you all day and then suddenly see you! Gotta love 'em! 3. I have been vigilant with my exercise for a couple weeks and have been counting calories and have lost 2 lbs since the beginning of January, which is 8 lbs overall! Yay! 4. I caught a cleaning "bug" and was a whirlwind during the week! Too bad it doesn't hit me too often! Ha! 5. Zach's promise of a ceiling fan and light for Valentine's day last year came true last weekend! We spent a fairly frustrating day putting it in! We were both about ready to scream, and thank goodness it worked or I don't what we would have done! 6. Zach's classes started and he is taking 12 hours! Pray that the semester goes well for the...

Ten on Thursday

1. Last Friday Elizabeth came over and we made spinach manicotti and apple cream cheese bundt cake. The cake I dropped bringing it out of the oven. Words couldn't express how angry I was! Ugh. At least our manicotti was delicious! 2. Saturday was New Year's Eve and we spent the day kind of lazily. I can't even remember what we did in the early in the day. That evening we went to Zach's parents' house to celebrate. We ate lots of yummy food and played Catch Phrase. I was so ready for bed at 10:00, but we made it until midnight, got our kisses in, and headed home. We were so exhausted we laid straight down in bed, and then naturally took forever to be able to sleep. 3. Sunday Zach had to work so I went to church and ate afterward at Mama Joyce's. Then I got my New year's presents from my Mama and Daddy. Yes, I still get a little something for New Year's! I got a pink necklace from Memories, an antique shop in Henderson, peach bellini lotion from Bath and ...

Christmas Part 1

Our first Christmas celebration was on the 23rd with Zach's parents and his sister, brother-in-law, and our niece! We had yummy chicken alfredo and a great time opening presents! Zach's parents' tree. Isn't it beautiful? Aubrie, our niece, opening her LaLaLoopsy doll from us. She said, "It's just what I always wanted!" Glad we could get it for her! Zach got a picture of his Mom since he said she's always the one behind the camera! Whoever made the Lalaloopsy doll didn't consider how hard it would be to wrap a pentagon shaped present! It's out of order, but here she is again! Zach got a gift card to Bucks and Jakes, a weed eater, and lots of stuff in his stocking. I got a sewing machine!!!, some lotion and body wash, a cake pop maker, and lots of stuff in my stocking! I guess we must have been extra good this year to deserve all that we received.

Ten on Thursday

1. Last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Zach had to do inventory at his store overnight. I was definitely apprehensive about spending the night alone, and a few times before I have gone to spend the night with his parents. This time I decided 3 nights was too much to impose on anyone and I was going to suck it up and just do it. Nellie slept with me each night and we were both pretty chicken, but I would say that with each night I felt more and more at ease. We both missed Zach terribly however and were very happy to have him back at home again at night! 2. Saturday I made a taco soup recipe from Pinterest, which was awesome , and then I went to Mama Joyce’s to wrap presents and make divinity. It was a very tasty day! Haha. 3. Sunday we played hand bells at church and that evening after Zach had caught up on some sleep after his overnight, we went to his Christmas Party for work. 4. On Monday we went to Turoni’s with Zach’s Mom, Dad, Granny, Papaw, Freddie, Jessie, and Aubrie. We didn...

Friday, the day after Ten on Thursday! : )

1. Two more days of school until Christmas break! 2. Zach finished his semester on Tuesday night. I once again will brag on him, since I don't think he looks at our blog anyway. He passed all of his classes and did so well. I honestly can't express is words how proud I am of him or how proud I am to be his wife. All I can say is, God did an excellent job when he set Zach aside for me! I am just blessed. : ) 3. I am finally getting over my sickness, praise the Lord! My nose is still stuffy off and on, but I will take it since my head no longer feels like it will explode! 4. Nellie has found a new love. Whenever I am drying my hair, as soon as I turn on the drier, she comes bounding up, lays down, and rolls onto her back. Then I blow it all over her belly and sides as she just wallows. (Don't worry, I make sure to keep it moving so it doesn't burn her!) She will even roll from side to side when I tell her too. This has become extremely useful for when I gi...

Catching up!

Nellie is just horrified my her Mama's lack of blogging these past couple weeks! Well, more like, this is how she feels about her Santa hat this year! : ) Either way, she is too cute in this picture. So posting my ten on Thursdays has crossed my mind a million times in the last two weeks, it just hasn't made itself a #1 priority thus far! Sorry, but I do have pictures to make up for it! : ) Let's start with Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful day with both sides of Zach's family. We went to his Aunt Tammy's house at lunch time. I am not big on Thanksgiving foods, which I probably mentioned before, but I do like corn casserole, mashed potatoes, and lots of pretzels with rolos melted on them. I did not take pictures, but everything was beautiful and delicious. Later that night we met Zach's Aunt and Uncle at Cracker Barrel. We were honestly still stuffed to our gills, so I ordered a side of hashbrown casserole and was good with that! This was th...
