Grandma Scheller

I haven't posted in a whole lot of detail, so I will try to catch everyone up now. Last Wednesday (February 16), Zach's Grandma Scheller had a stroke while she was standing up. This caused her to fall, and when she fell, she hit the back of her head and had a seizure.

The seizures continued and the doctors performed surgery around 6:00 Saturday night to try to reduce the blood building up in her head, which would hopefully cease the seizures. They were very unsure if she would be able to withstand the surgery. Zach called me at 9:00 (I had already agreed to babysitting and I knew I couldn't do anything at the Hospital, so I went ahead to babysit) and told me that she made it through surgery and was in the ICU recovering. When I got home at 9:45 we went back to the hospital to see her. She was still having seizures, but looked better than I thought she would after brain surgery. We went home around 11:00 that night.

Sunday morning we got up and went to visit her at around 9:30. She was still having seizures and looked a little worse due to the blood draining out of her head and down a tube. They told us to not really try and talk to her because any sort of stimulation seemed to trigger seizures. Today Zach's mom said she is doing maybe a little better as the seizures have become a little milder. We hope this is a step in the right direction for her.

Please pray for God's will in this situation. Pray that her seizures would stop and that God guide the doctors and nurses treating her. We appreciate all of you thinking of our family and will keep you updated.

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...

BS #3- 22 weeks

22 weeks with Reid, Savannah, and BS #3! 😍 How far along: 22 weeks  Weight gain- up 7 lbs overall. I have been eating more sweets this week and need to reign it in! Buttttt.... Exercise- Reid, Zach, Savannah, and I did take a long walk today in our neighborhood and I’m hoping to do it daily.  Most exciting thing this week- baby girl had hiccups for the first time this week and I could feel them all! Zach also got to feel her a couple times for the first time this week! Same timing as he did with Savannah! So cool! Cravings- sweet, Chick- fil- a, Parlor doughnuts  Aversions/ anything making you sick- not this week! Yay!!! Reid’s thoughts- he still likes to kiss my belly and ran in and talk to baby and tell her how precious she is! One day he told her he can’t wait to see her in October! Savannah’s thoughts- I have started asking her when she’s laying on her changing table if Mama has a baby in her belly and one day she patted her own b...
