Weekend Recap

We had a wonderful weekend with our friends, Christine and Cole!  Christine was my college roommate and Cole is her husband.  All four of us lived in the same apartment complex at USI.  We had been wanting to get together for a long time, and this weekend worked perfectly for us.  We went up to their house about 2 hours away.

The first stop after we got there was for lunch at a local eatery, Joe's Garage.
BBQ, one of our favorites!

The most handsome husband in the world!

The best roommate in the world! : )

After lunch, they gave us a tour around their town and we went to see their house that they are renovating!  It was so exciting to see what they've already done and to hear their plans!!

We went back to their other house and lounged and decided to go to Terra Haute to get supper at Olive Garden so we could get our pumpkin cheesecake!  (Christine and I used to go and get it each Fall when we were in college!)
Happy girls with our pumpkin cheesecake!

After that we shopped at Jo-Ann Fabrics and went back home to watch  Pitch Perfect!   Christine and Cole hasn't seen it, so it was funny to watch them watch it!  Aca-awesome!

On Sunday, we all went to Sunday School and church together at their home church.  Everyone was so welcoming and happy to see us, which was really nice!  Both services were really good and I was so happy we were able to worship with good friends!

After church, we ate pizza and indulged the peanut butter eclair dessert that Christine and I had whipped up Saturday night.  We spent even more time hanging out and did a mini photo shoot before we had to head home!

Adorable couple!

So sweet!

Being silly!

The silliness continued...

and continued!

So thankful for this girl!!  God knew what he was doing when he made us roommates!
We had such a good time and hope that we will be able to visit with them again soon!!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
