Nashville!

Going to eat at the spaghetti factory.  As you can see, Zach is watching TV! Haha
Well, a little more focused now!
In front of "Batman" aka, the at and t tower!  We always looked for it driving through Nashville when we were little!  By the way, downtown Nashville was crazy!  Paying for parking was an experience to say the least and we didn't care a lot for the Spaghetti factory.  At least we know now though we'd rather avoid it!  We still had a fun night!

Friday we went to visit The Hermitage, home of former president Andrew Jackson.

My handsome husband with the house behind him.
Me in front of the house! (In case you're wondering why I'm dressed so funny, I was trying not to over pack for the trip, and ended up severely underpacking.  That was Zach's shirt.  Next time I'll just be myself and over do! Lesson learned!)
Sitting in some shade while we were exploring the property.  It was so very hot that day.
The garden that President Jackson's wife dearly loved.  I can see why, it was beautiful!
                                                      President and Mrs. Jackson's graves.

Super excited because we were at The Cheesecake Factory!  We were even more excited because it wasn't down town! Ha!
Zach eating was the only way I could sneak a picture of him! Sorry honey!  He really liked this place though!  I was so happy!
My ultimate red velvet cheesecake.  So good, but I was so full, I almost made myself sick eating it!  Luckily, my sweet husband helped me out with it!
Me in all my cowbooted glory! I thought I looked pretty good, although Zach said it may have looked a little goofy!  Who cares, it's music city!

Another timer picture! Zach's head got cut off, but he didn't want to take another one! Plus, the opening ceremony for the Olympics was coming on! My excitment level was very high!
We went shopping at Opryland and I found this!  I wanted it, but didn't need it! ; )

Saturday morning, we checked out of the hotel and went to Opry mills to finish shopping since we didn't buy anything Thursday.
We then ate at the Rainforest Cafe.  Definitely a place for experience and not the food.  The fish were very pretty!
We didn't find Nemo, but we found Dory!
Zach in front of the fish tank.
Waiting for our food!  That flash was bright since the restaraunt was kind of dimly lit!
We then went to Bass Pro and then headed home!  It was so good to see our Nellie girl!  I know she had a good time at her grandparents, but we sure did miss her!  It was so very nice to get away though.  I hope it isn't another 2 years before we get to do it again!  Thanks for a wonderful trip, honey! I love you!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
