Weekly Wrap-Up October 28- November 3

Monday we went to our usual, Qdoba, for supper and then went to Lowe's, Aldi, and Jo-Ann's.  I got to use my super saver card at Jo-Ann's and got this $20 basket for $4.20!  Hence the happy face!
Tuesday was Strengthening Families, so that was my entire day.  I did manage to squeeze in a workout when I got home!  That was a big thing after working 13 hours!

Wednesday, Nellie and I went to Mama and Daddy's to help her finish my outfit and to have supper.  See how my Mama slaved over my dress?
Beautiful!

I really felt like the fairest of them all! : )
On Halloween, Nellie was standing on the sock drawer and staring in the mirror.  I just found it funny!
Friday night I babysat some kiddos that I've babysat a lot before.  They've gotten so big and we had lots of fun!  We also got to enjoy passing out candy at their house since it was postponed to Friday.
Saturday, Zach got up at 3:00 a.m. to go duck hunting with his cousins.  I feel it's almost unnecessary to say I did not get up then! I didn't get home until after midnight, and I needed my sleep for the next day!

I had one of my Praxis II tests for my teaching license for Kentucky on Saturday.  It had 4 subsections over reading, math, social studies, and science.  It was a 4 hour test, and I am sooooooo happy to say I passed... and with flying colors I might add! (Which I'm not going to lie, I did not expect on a couple of the sections, because they were really hard!)

When I got home, Zach had already left for hunting, so I worked on lesson plans and being Nellie's personal slave.  She enjoys me being her bed!

Today (11-3-13)  Zach got up early to go duck hunting again (by himself this time) and got his first mallard duck!  He was a happy man!!

Check out all this adorableness!  Too bad Nellie was making that ridiculous face!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
