Birthday week re-cap

This birthday girl is almost all celebrated out!  It's been  week since my birthday, and I'm just getting around to blogging about it!

Saturday (the 5th) I already blogged about, but didn't give details about where we went because Zach said I couldn't tell about it until my actual birthday.  Here's the present he got me!! : )
My new china cabinet with our beautiful china and goblets inside! I love it!
So I didn't ever know that Zach got a call back from "Feather Your Nest," but they did sometime during the week, telling him that the sellers accepted his offer!  He told them he'd pick it up Saturday, but of course I didn't know that!  On Saturday morning, he was standing in the living room looking at the wall and turned to me and asked, "Do you think that your china cabinet will fit here?"  Cue squealing and hugs!  We went to pick it up, came home, realized that they didn't give us the glass shelves, had to drive back, and finally got back home.  Then I gleefully unpacked my china (that you know, has not been used once in the almost 4 years we've been married) and set it up on display!  So fun!
On my birthday, this picture makes me laugh.

I opened one present before we went to Biaggi's.

What's up?  Oh, nothing... Just watching my Mama open presents!

Wardrobe change!  And Season 9 of The Office!  Love it!!!

With my baby girl!

Prec-ious-ness

My birthday pie!
Thursday night I went to Megan's apartment and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate!  Then we went back to her place to make cupcakes for a trip she was taking!

Friday night we went to Hacienda to celebrate with our friends, Ryan, Kayleigh, their daughter, Natalie, Brandi and Jerry!  Yum!  We are always a hoot when we get together!

On Saturday, we cleaned all morning and returned Zach's parents' truck to them since he fixed his!  We also got yummy Chick-fil-a biscuits for breakfast.  Yum, yet again!  I'm pretty sure I went overboard with birthday calories...oops.

That evening, we went out with my family to Little Italy for supper and then they came back to our house for presents and ice cream cake!
Everyone thought I was joking that Nellie likes to open presents, but the proof is in the picture.  Ha!

Let me smell the bath mats to see if I approve!

My new shoes! They match my personality perfectly, don't ya think?

Zach is so interested!

New clock from mama and daddy (all the previous stuff was!)

also from mama and daddy

The big 2-5!

Zach with his cougar lovely wife!
Funny sidenote, my parents met us at our house and we rode with them to the restaurant.  When we got home, Zach and I realized neither of us had grabbed our keys, and all of us were locked out of the house!  We got in eventually, thanks to Zach's ingenuity.  We'll leave it at that. ; ) Definitely made it a memorable evening!

Zach had to work Sunday, but I picked up donuts and took them to SS to further our celebrating and then spent the afternoon with Nellie.  It was a great weekend, and I get to look forward to celebrating with his side of the family on Easter!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
