Weekend Wrap- Up

On Saturday morning, we tried the whole Taco Bell breakfast attempt over, and Zach got to try it finally.  He liked it, but I don't think he thought it lived up to the hype.  I had a delicious bagel from The Great American Bagel!
Umm, it may be missing a bite here! ; )
We then came back home to really get ready for the day and Zach took me somewhere that I can tell about on my actual birthday.  There's really no suspense behind the story, but it is a birthday present, so I figure I should wait till the day to share! Let's just say it took up a lot of our day!!

We hadn't had pizza in a while, so Zach ordered it and I picked it up.  We snuggled up on the couch and watched Captain America.  We also watched There's Something About Mary which we got from the library.  We ended the night watching UK win in the final four game against Wisconsin!  I was cheering in bed and scared the crap out of Nellie when I shouted.  Her head bolted up like "Who. dares. disturb. my slumber?"

Sunday we went to church and Mama Joyce's for lunch with my Mama Grace and Grandaddy.  They came up on Saturday and spent the night to celebrate my Daddy's birthday.  We went to North Park near our house and browsed in a place called Seek and Find Consignments and then came home to work on projects.  Zach put up a piece of the new board in the bathroom ceiling and painted one of his guns, and I cleaned around the house.  So exciting! We did laugh because our sunday school lesson was on resting on the sabbath, and we didn't do that great of a job, but we'll try better next week!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
