Bumpdate: Week 24

How Far along: 24 weeks

Baby's size: Cantaloupe (Mama and Daddy both love this fruit!)

Weight loss/gain:

Sleep: I'm doing a little better at getting back to sleep after my nightly bathroom break.

Gender: B-O-Y

Movement:  Moving, but I feel like I haven't felt him a whole lot!  I'm guessing his positioning has changed somewhat.

Best Moment of this week: When Zach got to feel him moving again!  Bringing the crib home! (My parents had been storing it for us!)  Tearing up some of our carpet, and looking at houses!! : )  Lots of excitement!

Looking Forward:  Looking at another house this weekend.  Hopefully getting to sleep in!  Thinking more about baby's room and putting the crib together once we get a couple screws that are missing!

Food cravings: Reese's!  My sweet husband shared his from Christmas once I polished mine off, and then I decimated his.  Good thing he loves me!

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nothing!

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Nope! Thank goodness! : )

Symptoms: My hips are starting to hurt, and I don't know if it's because they're being more stressed or just because I sleep on my side at night.  A good symptom I've been meaning to mention is that my hair stays cleaner longer.  I can wash it every 2 days instead of of every day, which is what I've had to do since I was like 12.  It's an awesome perk not to be a grease pit! : )

Workouts: Does work count as a workout? I stand and walk around for 8 hours!  If it's not, it's starting to feel like one!

What I miss: College, where I could sleep in and not work! (Even though I did work, it was part time!)  Other than the lovely lack of responsibility, I don't miss much.  I don't feel like this pregnancy deprives me of anything.  It's nothing but a blessing and gift, and again, I don't want to take it for granted!

Things that stink: Waking up early all the time! It's wearing me out! (Ditto this again this week.  It just gets harder and harder to make myself get out of bed each morning.  I seriously need spring break, but sadly it's waaaaay too soon to start counting down to that yet!)

Things that don't stink:We made our reservations for Valentine's Day supper the other night.  I knew that I wanted to do something special since it's our last one without a child! I can't wait to get dressed up and go out with my sweet husband!

Mama's Thoughts: I feel like I finally look pregnant enough to not be deemed "just fat" by a stranger on the street.  One of my eighth graders this week said to me "Mrs. Scheller, your belly... I just want to poke it!!" So, I guess they agree the bump is growing!  I did decline her offer, though!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach is excited at the thought that we could possibly move before or soon after baby is born.  He also can't wait to be on the other side of the bridge so he doesn't have to cross it everyday!

Baby: He doesn't seem to be moving tons, so I'm guessing he's spending a lot of time sleeping.  Also, I wonder if he's turned in where I can't feel his arms/legs as much.  I think he's good in there, though! : )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
