Bumpdate: Week 35

35 weeks vs. 4 weeks!! Wow! How Far along: 35 weeks Baby's size: A coconut- Approx. 18-20 inches and probably at least 5.5 lbs!  I told my Mom I have never seen a coconut that large!  Weight loss/gain: Up 20 lbs.  Sleep:2-3 bathroom trips a night.  I'm still doing pretty well at going back to sleep as long as I am cooled off.  If I am hot and sweaty, I can't sleep until I'm cool.  Thank goodness for ceiling fans! Gender: B-O-Y Movement: He is still favoring laying across my belly and keeping his feet in my right side with my ribs.  If he shoves, I shove back!  I think he thinks it's a little game! Best Moment of this week: Zach laying his head on my belly and BBS kicking him in the face while also hitting Zach's hand across my belly.  We are easily entertained!  The rest of the week also hasn't been all that exciting!! Looking Forward: My baby shower at church is this Saturda...

How Far along: 34 weeks Baby's size:Butternut squash (Approx. 17-19ish inches long and around 5.5 lbs) Weight loss/gain: Up 20 lbs.  Sleep: I am sweating like a pig during the night, and it gets worse at around 4 a.m. when I wake up for my second bathroom trip.  I sweat through my clothes and my pregnancy pillow!  So gross!  Last night we kept the fan on and that helped some.  I think I am sleeping with one sheet on and Zach is using the sheet, 2 blankets, and comforter!  Bless his sweet heart! : ) Gender: B-O-Y Movement: He likes kicking me in the ribs for sure!  He moves like crazy and we are just enjoying every moment! Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Nope! Symptoms: Sweatiness (not even sure ...

Baby Shower #1

My friend, Kayleigh, hosted my first baby shower March 28.  Everything was so cute, delicious, and sweet!  So, I don't forget, here were the attendees: My Mama, Zach's Mama, Kayleigh, Christy, Brandi, Penny, Lori, Heather, Christine, and Vicki.  Baby boy is so loved already! I totally lost myself over this hat from Brandi! She made it to look just like Nellie, long floppy ears and all.  She also made a diaper cover with a little tail.  I looooooooooove it!

Our baby boy...

is going to be a Kentuckian!! : ) So many ways to express my joy, but instead of dancing or singing, I'll just say it on here.  We have been working through the process of buying a house for the past month.  Let me just say... it has seemed like so much longer than a month.  It has been a taxing, stressful, and nerve-wracking time, but now all we are waiting for now is to hear the closing date.  Zach is over the moon about the move, as he'll have an over 600 square foot building to play in and we are going to have a little over 8 acres of land.  I'm elated, of course, because we are returning to my old Kentucky home and my husband is giving me a beautiful, bigger house!  We really aren't sure what we'll even do with all the room!  The ultimate blessing is that we'll be in the house before BBS is here!  He'll spend his whole life as a Kentuckian! (No offense, Hoosier friends!)  That is what I have always wanted, though. Nothing is more import...

Bumpdate: Week 33

How Far along: 33 weeks Baby's size: Size of a durian.  Approx. 18 in. long and maybe as big as 5.8 lbs.  I think they are making up this fruit.  It looks creepy, too. Weight loss/gain: Up 17 lbs total.  I promise it's all in my belly. Seriously. Sleep: Still getting up at least once a night, every now and then it is twice.  Some worse this week as I haven't been able to get back to sleep well after around 3:00 am. Charlie Horses are not helping! Gender: B-O-Y Movement: We can see him moving my belly all around when we lay down at night and it is so fun to watch!  He has started to push back or move when Zach messes with him! : )  He seems to be kicking my ribs/ high belly area.  I hope I'm right in thinking he has turned! Best Moment of this week: My first baby shower, getting more things settled in the house and getting some things painted! (Thanks to the help of both our Moms!) Looking Forw...

How Far along: 31 weeks Baby's size: length of a pineapple, around 4.5 lbs Weight loss/gain: Up 12 lbs total, and really hoping to slow that down.  I can't pretend that I'm not responsible, because  I feel like I'm constantly hungry!  It's a vicious cycle! Sleep: Still getting up at least once a night, every now and then it is twice.  I sleep awesomely until about 2 am, then toss and turn after going to the bathroom. I have done a little better about getting back to sleep until about 5:50 when Zach's first alarm goes off. Gender: B-O-Y Movement: We can see him moving my belly all around when we lay down at night and it is so fun to watch! Best Moment of this week: Birthing class and seeing Zach wear the empathy belly!
