is going to be a Kentuckian!! : ) So many ways to express my joy, but instead of dancing or singing, I'll just say it on here. We have been working through the process of buying a house for the past month. Let me just say... it has seemed like so much longer than a month. It has been a taxing, stressful, and nerve-wracking time, but now all we are waiting for now is to hear the closing date. Zach is over the moon about the move, as he'll have an over 600 square foot building to play in and we are going to have a little over 8 acres of land. I'm elated, of course, because we are returning to my old Kentucky home and my husband is giving me a beautiful, bigger house! We really aren't sure what we'll even do with all the room! The ultimate blessing is that we'll be in the house before BBS is here! He'll spend his whole life as a Kentuckian! (No offense, Hoosier friends!) That is what I have always wanted, though. Nothing is more important to me that raising my child in the state that I love. I'm so glad Zach feels the same as me, and I think he'll be a perfect transplant! He is also so excited because he will no longer have to drive across the bridge every day. His commute will also be cut in half. My drive will become longer, but it won't be too terrible. For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room. That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there. It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up. So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own. Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more. It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels. I think we were all nervous to cut it. It was too costly to mess up!
