Bumpdate: Week 35

35 weeks vs.
4 weeks!! Wow!

How Far along: 35 weeks

Baby's size: A coconut- Approx. 18-20 inches and probably at least 5.5 lbs!  I told my Mom I have never seen a coconut that large!

Weight loss/gain: Up 20 lbs.

Sleep:2-3 bathroom trips a night.  I'm still doing pretty well at going back to sleep as long as I am cooled off.  If I am hot and sweaty, I can't sleep until I'm cool.  Thank goodness for ceiling fans!

Gender: B-O-Y

Movement: He is still favoring laying across my belly and keeping his feet in my right side with my ribs.  If he shoves, I shove back!  I think he thinks it's a little game!

Best Moment of this week: Zach laying his head on my belly and BBS kicking him in the face while also hitting Zach's hand across my belly.  We are easily entertained!  The rest of the week also hasn't been all that exciting!!

Looking Forward: My baby shower at church is this Saturday!  I feel like I have dreamed about this day for years when I imagined being pregnant and getting to celebrate with all the family and church family who have supported me and loved me for years.  It feels so surreal that this is actually happening!  I may need someone to pinch me!!

Food cravings:Tri-Fest is coming tomorrow, and I can't wait to have a philly cheese steak and a lemon shake-up!

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Nope!

Symptoms: Mother of all cankles!  On Sunday I noticed my feet and ankles were slightly swollen and every day this week they have been horrible!!  Also, Sunday I felt terrible.  My vision was slightly blurry, I had a terrible headache, and just felt "out of it." I think that's the first time I've taken tylenol since being pregnant, and it did help eventually!

Dr. Appt: In 3 days, on Monday.  Then I'm going weekly!!  Ahh!

Workouts:  Ha. Ha. Ha. Walking around school all day doing my job.  House work at home.

What I miss: Not much!  I have to say I worry about how things will change when BBS gets here.  It's just been Zach, Nellie, and I for so long, and I am anxious about how things will be.

Things that stink: My cankles!

Things that don't stink:  Again, my baby shower!!! : )   And tomorrow is the opening day of turkey season, so I will have one happy husband!

Labor signs?: Nope!  Hoping not for at LEAST another 4-5 weeks!

Mama's Thoughts: Everyone is asking me if I am so ready for BBS to be here.  To which I reply, "Nope!  I want him to stay in as long as he needs to! I don't want him here a moment before he's supposed to be!"  I think people think ít's weird that I'm not anxious for him to be here, but all I can say is I'm just not.  It's not that I'm not excited to meet him, but I just haven't really even thought about what that will be like.  Maybe I'm not as much of a daydreamer as I thought, but I don't think the reality that he will be here and ours will set in until I am in labor, or he is actually here.  We will see!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach mentioned last night that he should tentatively put in for his leave for when BBS is born.  It seems to be getting so close!!

Baby:  BBS is hanging out enjoying what I eat and drink, and is kicked back and relaxed! (Or so I think!)  He is happy to be in Mama for the rest of his stay!!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
