Bumpdate: Week 31

How Far along: 31 weeks

Baby's size: length of a pineapple, around 4.5 lbs

Weight loss/gain: Up 12 lbs total, and really hoping to slow that down.  I can't pretend that I'm not responsible, because  I feel like I'm constantly hungry!  It's a vicious cycle!

Sleep: Still getting up at least once a night, every now and then it is twice.  I sleep awesomely until about 2 am, then toss and turn after going to the bathroom. I have done a little better about getting back to sleep until about 5:50 when Zach's first alarm goes off.

Gender: B-O-Y

Movement: We can see him moving my belly all around when we lay down at night and it is so fun to watch!

Best Moment of this week: Birthing class and seeing Zach wear the empathy belly! (Sorry to report I won't be posting pics.  They are adorable, though! He asked that I don't and for once I'm listening to him! Haha!)

Looking Forward: Spring break starts at 3:00 tomorrow!!! Woo hoo!  Also looking forward to an empty weekend where we can relax!  Annnnnd for those who are counting, it's just a little over a week from our first baby shower!  So exciting!

Food cravings: Nothing in particular, I am just so hungry.

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nothing

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Nope!

Symptoms: Legs and back hurting after a long day at work.

Dr. Appt: 4 days until the next appt.  I can't wait to hear my sweet baby boy's heartbeat!

Workouts: Nellie and I went on a walk!  Woo hoo! We are doing better!

What I miss: Not much!

Things that stink:Not a lot!

Things that don't stink: I repeat, Spring Break starts tomorrow!  I can relax for 9 days and then enjoy my first baby shower!

Mama's Thoughts: I find myself wondering what position baby is in and am really wanting to know.  I am going to ask if the Dr. can tell Monday by feeling, but doubt they will be able to tell until/ if they do another U/S.  They said they usually only do another one if they need to check size/ weight of baby.

Daddy's Thoughts: At birthing class, we did an ice breaker where we signed a space on other people's paper that matched our feelings.  Zach signed his under "I'm just so excited to be having a boy!" So cute!

Baby: He moves around so much even during the day.  I think he is already pretty strong.

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
