Ten on Thursday

1. Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary of dating! I can't believe that it has been that long, but I love that I love Zach even more every day that passes!

2. Today is Zach's dad's 47th birthday and tomorrow is my Granddaddy's 87th birthday.

3. Tomorrow we are eating with Zach's family for his dad's birthday and on Saturday, we are going down to Mama Grace and Granddaddy's for his birthday. So we are going to have a very busy weekend for sure!

4. Zach's mom is going to watch Nellie this weekend while we are gone and I hope she is a good girl! (And goes outside every time she uses the bathroom!)

5. On the list of Nellie's accomplishment this week:
-She has learned how to climb up on the couch. : (
-She has gone to the door nearly EVERY time to go to the potty. : )
-She seems to prefer Mama to Daddy as of right now! hehehe.

6. 8 weeks down in the semester and 8 to go!! Yay!

7. Zach got home at 4:30ish today, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays he doesn't usually get home until 9:00 or so! So needless to say, I am thrilled to be spending some extra time with him!

8. I am so excited for Christmas! Let's just skip Halloween and move right onto Thanksgiving where I'll get a 5 day break from school.

9. Today I took Nellie for a walk on her leash for the first time. We have been letting her drag it behind her around the house and she did not like it at all. She did make it all the way around the block, but we tripped over each other quite a bit and she was a little afraid of all the passing cars and dogs. I thought she was pretty good and she was soooo excited when we got back to the safety of her own home! : )

10. The Office is on, and it's time to snuggle with my babies!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
