Ten On Thursday

1. Zach shot this deer two weekends ago in Henderson. He called it his "jacked up deer."

2. Nellie has been chewing like crazy!

3. Yesterday was crazy sock day at Joshua Academy where I am observing a math class! I wore flip flops so the kids could see all of my socks and they loved them! (Remember, it's the small things in life!)

4. Tomorrow the kids are having a Halloween, I mean "fall party" since not all people celebrate/take part in Halloween. All of the kids have been excited about the party and have been talking about their costumes they will wear this weekend. I am really excited to get to be at the party too! It should be a fun time!

5. I am making chicken and rice for supper tonight! Let's hope it's half as good as my Mama Joyce's!

6. On Monday, Zach cooked while I was at class. He made baked spaghetti with deer. I asked him what recipe he used and he said he just made it up! It was pretty good though!

7. I am taking 2 of the 3 Praxis II tests on November 13 and reaaaaally am freaking out about it. A lot of people said they are easy though. We shall see!

8. I have a paper for my sign language class and I am determined to get it done early! It's due on Monday and I've already started, which is significant!

9. On Friday we get to go pick up Zach's deer meat from the Amish and then we are getting his parent's old couch! (Which isn't really old, I think they've only had it 2 years!) So it will be good to have a couch in place of a love seat! More room to stretch out!

10. Last night Zach and I went to Wal-mart. We were at the checkout and I got my debit card out to pay. The lady waiting on us said, "Oh, you are older than I thought you were. I thought he (motions to ZACH) was your dad." Me violently throwing up at the thought inside says, "Actually, he's my husband." Then she proceeds to say, "I thought you were about 15." I then think Wow, didn't think it was THAT bad. So then I smile and say, "Actually we're both 21, and I'm a month older. ha ha ha." She then asked how long we'd been married, to which I told her it had been 4 months. She smiled and told us good luck!

So, moral of the story, not only am I married to my dad, I'm his teenage bride!! haha! Hope this puts a smile on your face, because we sure were cracking up!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
