Ho, Ho, Ho, Hello Shutterfly!

I have used Shutterfly http://http//www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery in the past to print off our engagement pictures, wedding pictures, and our Christmas cards last year! Everything we have ever gotten has been perfect and I can't tell you how excited when I see that bright orange Shutterfly package on my front step! Now they are offering a promotion for bloggers to get 50 free Christmas cards this year! "Wow," is all I can say! I loved our cards last year and the quality was great. Not "just for the price" was it great, I would have paid even more for them! Plain Christmas cards don't bring quite as much joy to family and friends as seeing your smiling faces on customized cards! They are soooo easy and fun to design! I spend hours each time making sure everything in the right place and Shutterfly takes care of the rest! Here are some of my absolute favorites for this season:

How cute is it to have your family's personal top 10 moments of the year? It fills everyone in on all the exciting events that are important to you without having to write anything out!

In the event we get that "one" perfect picture, this card would be so perfect!

How cute would this be with our "S" monogram in the middle? Plus, I would be able to use so many pictures of us, which I love!

So has seeing all of these beautiful cards gotten you in the Christmas spirit yet? I know I am! If you want to participate by posting on your blog and getting 50 free Christmas cards from Shutterfly, then sign up here! http://bit.ly/sfly2010

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
