We can't all be perfect....

And I'm definitely not! So the story goes....

In November and May I have to take my engagement ring in to the jewelry store to get it inspected and cleaned to uphold the lifetime warranty that Zach purchased for it. I knew the time was coming up and started searching our house for it. No ring papers. It's only the beginning of November, so I don't worry too much, knowing they'll turn up soon. I knew since we had moved into our house I had seen them in a box. Jump to 3 days ago. Oh no, the month is almost over and I STILL haven't found the stupid papers. Then we come to present day with Zach and I frantically searching the house for them. They are NOWHERE. We turned this house upside down searching for them. I am almost 90% sure they are here somewhere, but to keep my warranty I had to take the ring in by November 30th. (Tomorrow!) So, my wonderful, wonderful, wonderful husband calls Roger's and tells them our (ok, MY) situation. Since he keeps all of his important documents in a box where he always knows where it is (God bless him) he had the receipt showing where he bought the lifetime warranty. After he told them all of this they said that they would be able to check my ring out, and if there was anything wrong with it, we would have to pay for it, and then they would re-instate the warranty. Well, thank the Lord there was nothing wrong with it and they drew up new paperwork. Sigh of HUGE relief knowing my husband won't kill me for losing the warranty. I am extremely happy that everything worked out! Now the new papers are going in the safe and not moving until my ring goes back, and then they're going back into the safe! Lesson learned!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
