Hey it's Thursday!

I was checking our blog and suddenly realized, "It's Thursday! So it's time for Ten on Thursday!" I guess it's going to take some getting used to because I had almost forgotten it!

1.) Zach found out that he did not get into the electrical apprenticeship and we were both disappointed! We also guess that this just wasn't what God has planned for him now and he is actively seeking what the plan is! He is also looking for a job that is closer to home, so please pray he finds one soon!

2.) My second week of classes was awesome! Haha, mostly because I only had two days of class because of labor day! Yay!

3.) Mama and Daddy are going to Cincinnati, Ohio this weekend for Mama to attend a physical therapy seminar. When we were little, we might have been going too! Now we're all having to do the grown up thing instead, which is way less fun! Hope they have a good time though!

4.) Our water here in Southern Indiana and Kentucky is tasting like DIRT these days because it has been SO dry and the river has gotten so low. We are supposed to get some rain this weekend and I say, "Let it pour and let the river rise!" I am so tired of the water tasting nasty!

5.) Zach and I are trying to walk for 30 minutes in the evening. I know it's not a lot, but it's better than what we've been able to do in a while, and he thinks my power walk is pretty entertaining!

6.) Our refrigerator may be on it's last leg. (Which is understandable since I am positive is older than me. Possibly Zach and I's ages put together.) So, well, if that goes out, we're just going to add that to the pile that is already on top of us! Let's hope it can hang in there for a little while longer.

7.) It's getting cooler outside all the time, and while I love summer, I love looking forward to getting out my winter scarfs, hats, and coats! For some reason, I really like cold weather!

8.) I am searching diligently for a good kuchen recipe, but all of the ones I find aren't quite right. Anybody know a good one?

9.) Zach is really loving his XBOX 360 these days. He seems to love it even more since he bought the online gaming card so that now he can play Call of Duty with all the other nerds out there!

10.) This weekend we are going to Zach's mom's family reunion. They are having it in New Harmony, IN, which I've never been to, so that will be an adventure all in itself. We're not sure all that's planned, but hopefully we'll have some fun!

I hope everybody's having a good September so far!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
