Ten on Thursday

I bet you thought I forgot about you, right? Yet again, I remembered right before bed time that it was ten on Thursday... But it's my cheating edition. I am lazy and can't find my camera cord to upload photos so I am going to cheat and write the whole entry today and add the pictures tomorrow. : ) Deal?

1. I did get the hair CUT and it is a pretty big change if I do say so myself.

2. Zach also got a haircut today from yours truly. His is lovely as well, but he wouldn't let me take a picture. Spoil-sport!

3. I have realized this week I hate October because that is when all of the horror/thriller movies come out for the year. This leads to there being scary commercials on TV all the time. Which leads to me screaming my head off until I can change the channel. I can't help it that I am such a big chicken.

4. This weekend our friends Ryan and Kayleigh are having a yard sale. We are putting some items in it as well, so we'll be up BRIGHT and EARLY Saturday morning. yaaaaaay.... (note the sarcasm, please!)

5. Tonight Christine and I had a girls night. We ate at Fazoli's and then saw "You Again." We laughed so hard and it was a great movie! There was not a single cuss word in it, plus Betty White, I don't think you could ask for more! It was so refreshing to have a good clean movie!

6. Zach was mad the other night because he got killed 21 times in a game of Call of Duty. I personally was cracking up and keeping tab of each time he got shot and told him I think the game was a sign he shouldn't go into the military! haha.

7. Along the lines of military... The other night I had an AWFUL dream that Zach was going into the army and that he was going to be deployed for 14 months. I was sobbing a lot in the dream, so I woke up and was actually crying. So naturally, I creeped him out when I grabbed him in a huge bear hug in the middle of the night wailing, "Please don't leave me!" Isn't it crazy how dreams make us crazy?

8. Zach is starting his new job next Thursday! Hallelujah! We are so thankful that the Lord has provided him with a job!

9. Here is my first day of school picture I promised a while back.

10. We are going to finally order some big wedding pictures now that we have our proofs and I am so excited! Now I just have to narrow them down, and that's not going to be an easy task!

We hope everyone is having a great week! Just think, tomorrow is the first day of October! Crazy!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
