Ten on Thursday

1. Working all week with school is insane. Don't think I'll be working this much again for a while!

2. We went and saw "Easy A" last night. We thought it was pretty funny, but were extremely disappointed with the language. They used a certain phrase that I hate hate hate to hear and at one point I told Zach we were leaving if they said it again. That being said, I wouldn't recommend you to see it. Just wait until they show it on TV and they have all the words bleeped out. It would be much better!

3. We had chicken parmesan for supper tonight. The best part was that we both collaborated and did part of it instead of just one of us cooking. I have to say we make a pretty awesome team!

4. Both Zach and I need haircuts. I'm going to cut Zach's tomorrow, and possibly get my hair cut Saturday. I hate having my hair cut, but I really want to try a new style! Any ideas that won't make me look awful!? ; )

5. Zach is an awesome cleaner. He has been working hard around the house this week while I've been working and at school. Thanks, honey!

6. Tuesday I (Nathana) ran out of deoderant. Didn't want to make a trip to walmart before class, so sleeping husband unknowingly lent me his for the next 2 days! haha, we got me some last night after the movie! I definitely think I smell better with my own deoderant!

7. Zach won't admit it, but he is starting to like watching "The Office" with me! Shh, don't tell him I know!

8. I have to do 3 field experiences in my classes and for 1 of them I have to find my own school to go to. That means I'll have to go to three different schools probably. And with what free time? I'm a little stressed about it!

9. I keep getting e-mails from Kirkland's asking me to come to their fall sale, and I want to get some cute decorations but I haven't had the time to go! I'm hoping this weekend I can get there and find some adorable decorations to use for years to come!

10. I made a pineapple upside down cake on Tuesday and it is Zach's proclaimed, "New favorite cake." I personally think it is one of the least yummy cakes I've ever tried! I need to find a cake we both like.

Hope everybody has had a good week!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
