Happy Birthday, Aubrie Lynn!

Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Aubrie, Happy birthday to you!

Uncle Zach and I want to tell you some important things on your 4th birthday!
First of all, you are our favorite niece! ; )
Second, we love you and your sweet, funny personality so much!
Uncle Zach loves the cadence of when you pronounce his name, "Zach-uh-ry," instead of Zach.
I love that one of the first words you ever said was a variation of "Zach!" : ) You love your Uncle so much, and I love to watch how much he loves you!
We love that you never forget to pass out your mooches when you leave, even if we have to bribe you into giving them to us sometimes! : )
You don't remember it, but one time down at Granny and Papaw's farm, Zach rocked you to sleep in the rocking chair. You were faking sleep, so then I got to hold you and rock you all the way to sleep! It was a memory of the three of us I will never forget. It was just sweet.
I love that I am your Aunt and have practically been most of your life!
We love how you love "Nellie-Wellie Scheller." She love you too, as long as you are not dragging her around on her leash! : )

We are so blessed to have a sweet, sweet niece like you, Aubrie! We can't wait to see all you do in the coming years! Happy 4th birthday! We love you!

Love,
Uncle Zach and Aunt "Fana"

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...
