Survival

It's the goal of everyone. We all have different things we are trying to make it through. Some of us struggle through work, some through school (cough, cough.. me!), and some even through everyday life. I've been thinking lately "Goodness, there have been so many bad days. I am never going to get through this." I forgot in my simple "human-ness" (Silly human ways that are much too worldy) that God gives those incredibly bad and difficult days so that we can fully appreciate the splendor of those great days. This weekend was just plain bad with all of the work that I was doing, I thought there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Then it occured to me that Easter was this next Sunday, and that I get the celebrate the Light! : ) That thought brought me so much pleasure and I can not wait to celebrate Easter with our church family.

So whatever surviving you are up to this week, whether it is school and finals, work, marriage, or just plain old life, remember, there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and his name is Jesus! He brought you to it, and he'll bring you through it!

p.s.- I no longer feel student teaching is going to bring about my untimely death, in case you couldn't tell! : )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...
