Bumpdate: Week 11

No picture this week.  I blame all the sickness!!!

How Far along: 11 weeks

Baby's size: Lime

Weight loss/gain: Lost 1 lb since last Dr.'s appt!

Sleep: Still (almost) nightly pee trips, but sleep is good!

Gender: TBA in May. We're not finding out!

Movement: We got to see some of BS's moves on Monday! More on that below! : )

Best Moment of this week: Our ultrasound and Dr. Appt! Everything was perfect according to our u/s tech. She saw upper limbs, lower limbs, determined position of BS's placenta, and charted the heartbeat. Shim (She/him, get it?) was wiggly and jumpy right away, which answered our very specific prayers. The Lord provided everything my heart needed! We were in awe of the miracle he is knitting together inside of me!

Looking Forward: My dear friend, Christine's baby shower this weekend! I can't wait to see her and baby Ella (who is still cooking away!)

Food cravings:  I wanted Taco Bell one night, but then felt sick after eating it. Still would eat chick fil a with chick fil a sauce anytime it was offered to me!

Weirdest Food I ate last week: I just don't eat anything weird.

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Morning/Noon/Night sickness is (dare I say) starting to subside! : ) Almost through this first trimester!

Symptoms:  The normal stuff. Nothing new this week, and like I said, it's getting better! : )

Workouts: I don't want to talk about this this week!

What I miss:  I really would like a gas station cappucino!

Things that stink: Nothinh much. It has been such a blessed week! :)

Things that don't stink: Getting to see Shim, telling Mama Joyce about Shim on Sunday, and then calling aunts, uncles, and cousins on Monday. Everyone was so excited! Lauren said she just knew why I was calling! Haha!

Mama's Thoughts: I just feel so thankful that everything looked good on the u/s and that baby is really in there! I already think about how sweet it will be

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach wants to make sure I'm not overdoing it and has been very sweet to help out with whatever I'm doing!  If I'd know that getting pregnant was what it took...Haha, I kid! (kinda!) ; )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
