Bumpdate: Week 9

How Far along: 9 weeks

Baby's size: Green Olive (Daddy likes the black olives, I think!)

Weight loss/gain: I haven't weighed a whole lot, but I think I've gained about a pound.  Gonna chalk that up to eating to find something to make me feel better and not exercising this past week.  Well, except for one day!

Sleep: Still (almost) nightly pee trips, and sometimes need a little snack to settle my belly.  Who would ever have thought I'd find it annoying to eat?  Only in the middle of the night, though! Haha!

Gender:  Chinese gender chart predicts a bouncing baby boy, but again, who knows?  I still say I don't want us to find out, and Zach is not swaying that he definitely does!  I had a dream this week that I had a little girl and that I let Nellie nurse before she got to.  I shared that dream with Zach and he was thoroughly grossed out!  Haha!  I reminded him Nellie would not be nursing! Still so funny!

Movement: Baby is definitely moving and a grooving in there, but probably at LEAST another 9 weeks till I feel anything.

Best Moment of this week: Our trip to French Lick was so good!  Everything was provided by Community Marriage Builders except our two suppers, so it was amazing.  We met some new couples and even caught up with a guy we went to college with and met his wife.  I felt sick both nights, but powered through it to have fun with my #1 guy!  Separate post to come on that!

Looking Forward to: One word: Ultrasound!  Every day I look at my calendar to remind how much longer we have to go!  I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself for being so patient while waiting for it!  Not sure how I'm managing that! Hehe!  I really feel like "raging hormones" haven't set in that much, because nothing has me upset much.... unless it's sad posts about babies or dogs on facebook.  Zach tenderly tells me to "Stop watching that stuff... you know it's going to make you cry!"

Food cravings:  I pretty much eat whatever I feel like eating, but I can't say I "crave" anything.

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nothing really.  Still feel like I eat all. day. long.

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Morning/Noon/Night sickness is still hanging around which is comforting to me (go ahead and call me crazy) because I figure that has to mean things are happening in me!

Symptoms:  Sickness and Hello to the fatigue.  Another thing I thought I got off scott-free from is here.  I am by no means the people who I read about online who just can't stay awake at work or at home, but I have been taking naps every now and then, and have been much more ready for bed around 9-9:30 p.m., which is so not normal for me!

Workouts: Walked on treadmill Monday.  See above tiredness!

What I miss:  Nothing much.

Things that stink: Feeling sick, I guess.  I just accept it as part of the journey though!

Things that don't stink: Getting ready for our fun weekend away and telling my sister about BS!  I met her and Mama to go shopping at Banana Republic and the whole drive there I was trying to come up with the perfect way to tell her.  I walked in practically sweating (I'm just weird, okay?) and my Mom was grinning towards me like the cat who ate the canary.  I was telling Suzanne that it had been long time, no see, and she informed me that I could hug her then! Ha!  While we hugged I just whispered in her ear, "You're going to be an aunt!"  She pulled back fast and said, "Are you serious.  Oh my gosh!"  Then teared up a little bit!  I can't lie that I was a little surprised!  She instantly got very excited and remembered to ask when I was due and how far along I was! Very sweet sister moment!

Also told Aunt Elizabeth about you!  She was surprised I think and is so excited at the thought of you!

Mama's Thoughts: I hate to rush time, but I just want our u/s to get here and see that everything is perfect and to finish out the 1st trimester so we can share our joy with the rest of our friends/family/ random people I meet on the street! Hehe.

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach wants to make sure I'm not overdoing it and has been very sweet to help out with whatever I'm doing!  If I'd know that getting pregnant was what it took...Haha, I kid! (kinda!) ; )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
