Bumpdate: Week 14

How Far along: 14 weeks

Baby's size: peach (one of this Mama's favorites!)

Weight loss/gain: Still down 4 lbs.

Sleep: Still (almost) nightly pee trips, but sleep is good!

Gender: TBA in May. Zach really wants to find out, so we have discussed what we're going to do!  Could be interesting!

Movement: I'm sure Shim is moving and grooving in there, but I don't feel anything of course!

Best Moment of this week: Trying on maternity clothes with my Mama, Zach shooting his biggest buck ever, and being a little less sick!

Looking Forward: Thanksgiving break! Still a couple weeks to go, though!

Food cravings: Chick-fil-a and the other day I wanted oreos, but didn't get any.

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nada, especially since I wasn't eating a whole lot!

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: We ate at the Pita Pit Friday night after getting my bloodwork done, and I threw it all up about 2 minutes from home!  Oops!

Symptoms:  My lower back has hurt a little and a really stuffy nose.

Workouts: Non-existent.  I am so not proud of this.

What I miss: Not being busy.  I feel like Zach and I aren't getting to spend much time together!

Things that stink: Not as much this week.  I don't want to complain!

Things that don't stink: Zach shooting a doe with his pistol!  He has wanted to do that for a long time and finally did.  Also, Mama, Suzanne, and I went shopping in downtown Henderson at shops' Christmas open houses.  We go every year and it is fun!  Poor Suzanne burnt her hand with scalding hot apple cider trying to help me get mine.  She was in pain!

Mama's Thoughts: I am almost to the second trimester!  Bring on the feeling better that is promised!  Please, please, please!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach keeps getting on to Nellie if she is too crazy around me.  It's cute that he's protective, but I know that Nellie will be fine!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
