Bumpdate: Week 5

How Far along: 5 weeks

Baby's size: An apple seed! So incredible to think that BS quadrupled in size in a week!

Weight loss/gain: Lost about 3 lbs, I've been working out normally, and plan to continue unless the OB says otherwise!

Sleep:  I have so tried to get to bed early, and it never happens!  I wake up every other morning or so early to pee.

Gender:  Only the Lord knows!

Movement:  Not yet, but can't wait until I feel that!

Best Moment of this week:  Still just reveling in the fact we made a baby!  So hard to believe after waiting for so long! (And yes, I realize so many people have to wait much longer.)

Looking Forward to: My first Dr.'s appt, (more on that in a second) and telling some of our friends!

Food cravings:  Nothing so far.

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nothing I can think of.

Anything making you feel sick or queasy:  Just if I haven't had food in a little bit.  Even then, I don't feel too bad.

Symptoms:  Sore chest and cramping. (I've been assured over and over again it's normal, I was just so surprised by it, because nobody ever mentioned cramping with pregnancy!  Who knew?)

Workouts: Elliptical on Monday and walked on treadmill Thursday!

What I miss:  Not a thing!  I can't complain!

Things that stink: Having to keep this secret! My Dr. Appt got canceled Tuesday because her child was sick, and I was so upset.  I called back to reschedule for the next day, and they asked about my insurance card.  I didn't have it yet, so I emailed the person at the school corp. and she told me my coverage didn't start until October 1! What the what?!  Cue an emotional meltdown in my little office.  They told me at my orientation that insurance kicked in September 1.  If I went while on my mom's insurance, (which I'm on until October now, apparently....ugh!) it would be out of network and cost a lot... so long story short, I am going to the Dr. October 2. (Not going on Wednesday, since Zach wouldn't be able to make it.)  I'll be 7 weeks, so maybe they'll even do an ultrasound! Fingers crossed!  The waiting just might kill me.  2 whole weeks! : /

Things that don't stink: How sweet Zach is being.  It's just adorable!  Eating what I want! (I promise it's nothing crazy or overdoing it, though!)

Mama's Thoughts: I pray multiple times a day that peanut is doing well inside of me, and still can't believe anyone is in there!  I worry with some of symptoms, but am just trusting the Lord that has our sweet baby in his hands and is knitting them together in my womb!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach likes to touch my belly each night and tell BS goodnight and then we pray for him/her.  He also will just say the sweetest things all the time.  He is the best!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
