Blogtember Day 11... apparently

With not blogging on the weekends during Blogtember, I had lost count.  When I linked up yesterday with Jenni and Story of My Life though, I got back on track with the days!

Today's prompt is a memory that I would relive.

To me this is a hard one.  There are several times I'd go back to if I could.  Times when my Papa was still alive and I was at he and Mama Joyce's house... just having Sunday lunch like we always did after church.

Oddly as it might sound, I'd love to relive the moments that Zach and I spent in college when we were just getting to know each other and when we realized we'd come to love one another.  Those moment are some that I wouldn't trade for anything.  We were in bliss, partially in the "real world", without all the  responsibilities.

I would definitely go back to the moments in our first date when Zach took me to Gander on his only day off (He worked there) that week, because I claimed I couldn't find the store when I was looking for it.  Or afterwards, when he took me to Robert's Stadium and let me drive (or attempt to) his stick-shift truck.  I remember thinking he either was crazy or must really like me since he was letting me drive his truck on our first date.  I still can't really drive stick by the way!!

Almost 6 years, and our love had only grown and deepened for one another.               I'd truly relive every moment if I could!  (yes, I know how cheesy that sounds!  It's true, though!)

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
