You say "Shop?"... I say "Way ahead of ya!"

Today's topic is to share our favorite shops... Confession time...
I have never ordered anything off of Etsy. Let that sink in. I know it's pretty crazy. So, in following Jenni's advice about making each subject your own, I am going to indulge ya'll in my favorite online shopping.

New York and Co.

Ya'll probably remember my woes back in January when our store in Evansville closed, but never fear, I have taken to ordering things online. I know their sizing well, so that makes me feel at ease ordering clothing online. (Which is something I NEVER do!)

This is my go-to site for ordering various sizes of prints, photo books, and Chistmas cards. A lot of times they offer free promotions and all you have to pay is the shipping! Coincidentally I jut ordered 2 photo books tonight and they were both completely FREE! Jealous? You should be! ; ) The shipping wasn't that bad either! I love me some pictures!

No, this isn't a store... It's more. I get all kinds of ideas and inspirations of things I want to buy and make.  Many are even things much beyond my current means. A girl has the right to dream though -!: if you wanna check out my dream home, you can check out my "home improvement" board! I'm themrs610 on Pinterest!

On a side note, we are melting at our house tonight! Our conditioning is out and it is currently 86 degrees in our house. (We hope and pray it'll be an inexpensive fix!) After all we've had going on, I'm ready to throw myself a little pity party! Anybody wanna join?

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
