If I could steal...

Day 16- Review a book, place, or product.

I'd steal with Katarina Bishop.

Ya'll, I'd like to proudly state that I read a lot of books this summer.  Not as many as I perhaps would have liked, but definitely more than last summer!

One I liked best was Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter.  I guess you technically might classify her as a "teen writer," but who doesn't care about that?  This girl!!  Anyway, she also wrote the Gallagher Girl series.  Basically, the main character, Katarina Bishop is in the family business not unlike the mob, but are mastermind thieves.  In Perfect Scoundrels, her best guy friend Hale has inherited his grandmother's multibillion dollar company and they have to track down her will because they feel it was altered.  They jet set and snoop and I would basically call Kat a female Sherlock Holmes... in a way.  All I can tell you is that I have loved all the Gallagher Girl and Heist Society novels and you should read one... or all 9! (And I totally won't judge you if you push aside all other life activities while absorbed in a new series... I am the queen of that! : )

Happy almost hump day!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
